Ed at a tying bench

Edward C. Kraft, Jr., 72, of Lancaster, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Lancaster General Hospital as a result of an injury sustained from a fall while fishing in one of his favorite trout streams in Mifflin County, PA.

Ed retired from the United States Air Force as a Lt. Colonel in 1984 after 26 years or service. He was an avid lifetime fly fisherman and a fly tier who won many local and national fly tying competitions. Ed tied flies commercially and was best known for his crayfish fly which was a bass killer.
