Speaker - Bill Kosmer
Topic -
Fly Fishing at the End of the World (Pesca con mosca en el fin del mundo)

Presentation Description:

Bill will showcase his photography and speak about fly fishing in Tierra del Fuego, primarily at Estancia Cameron Lodge. Located in Chilean Patagonia, Estancia Cameron Lodge offers the best trout fishing on the Chilean side of Tierra del Fuego. Numerous spring creeks and lagoons are present on this more than 200,000-acre property which contains large aggressive brown trout, as well as complete access to the Rio Grande, a world-renowned sea run brown trout fishery. Bill will discuss the fishing opportunities, methods, and logistics to plan a trip to this remote fisherman's paradise as well as the accommodations of the newly remodeled lodge overlooking the beautiful Rio Grande. Located at the southern extreme of the Americas, Tierra del Fuego provides a unique and wild fly fishing experience unlike no other.

Presenter Bio:

Bill's passion for fly fishing and photography was set in motion at an early age by his father. He spent most of his childhood days fishing the mountain freestone streams of his home waters of North Central Pennsylvania. Since those early days, the pursuit of wild trout has become a lifestyle for Bill. Over the last 30 years, camera and fly rod in hand, he has traveled extensively to fuel his passion for pursuing wild trout in remote locations from southern Chile to Montana to the backwoods of PA. His photos and writings have also appeared in the Drake and several newsletters and catalogs. He has given numerous presentations on his adventures and is an active member of Trout Unlimited, giving back to the resources he values so much. Bill is also an accomplished fly-tier and licensed guide. His adventures and photography can be viewed at www.tcotrouttales.blogspot.com .
