Fishing Native Streams for Brook Trout - presented by George Fallon
The Wheres, Whens, & Hows for Success with Wild Brook Trout
George Fallon on successful fly fishing of wild Brook Trout. George has been a resident of Philadelphia for his entire life. Fly fishing became his passion in the early 90s. Like most residents of Philly, he started fishing stocked streams until someone introduced him to wild trout opportunities throughout the state. George fished all over the state for wild browns, rainbows, and brook trout. While enjoying catching big browns and bows, brookies stole his heart. George has found many little fished wild brook trout streams in eastern and central PA. He developed his style for success and loves to share his knowledge with anyone he shares the water with.
In 2020, George retired from over 40 years in inventory management to really start to explore as many wild Brook Trout streams as possible. He will visit streams from the Class A list, the Natural Reproduction list, and streams he may just drive by and think, hmm. When not on the water, George volunteers with the American Red Cross as Blood Drive Ambassador and, ironically enough, as the regional inventory lead for SEPA disaster operations.
